2. Public Profiles and Third-Party Visitors

PlumRush allows certain users to create public digital business cards, mini-websites, or profiles intended for public viewing.

  • Any information you display on your public profile will be visible to end customers and the general public.
  • We may collect basic device and usage data from visitors who view your public profile page solely on your behalf to provide you with page analytics. PlumRush is a data processor for this specific information, and you are responsible for how you handle your profile visitors' interactions.

3. Why We Collect This Information

We collect your personal information in order to:

  • Provide customer rewards programs, manage user accounts, communicate with users, and deliver PlumRush services.
  • Provide, host, and display public digital profiles.
  • Provide personalised rewards and milestone benefits (such as birthday rewards).
  • In accordance with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, you can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in emails or following the opt-out prompts in our SMS messages.

4. Sharing Your Information

Besides our staff, we share this information with:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third-party cloud hosting and software infrastructure providers in order to host and safely operate the PlumRush platform.
  • Participating Merchants: Information necessary to manage, validate, and provide loyalty rewards through their rewards programs.
  • Your data may be transferred, stored, or processed by cloud providers located outside New Zealand (such as servers in Australia or the United States). We ensure these overseas service providers meet security standards compatible with New Zealand privacy laws. We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

5. Choice and Consequences

Providing some information is optional. However, if you choose not to enter your name, email address, or date of birth, we will be unable to provide specific services such as personalised rewards, birthday rewards, digital profiles, or essential account communications.

We keep your information safe by storing it in encrypted cloud databases and only allowing authorised staff to access it. We retain your personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services. If you delete your account, or if a Merchant you engage with leaves the platform, we will securely delete or anonymise your associated data within a reasonable period, unless legal obligations require us to hold it.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymise it.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time as required by applicable law, and to reflect changes to our personal information collection, usage, and storage practices. If we make material updates, we will notify you through the PlumRush web application or via email. Unless stated otherwise, our most current Privacy Policy applies to all personal information that we hold.
